Resort Saint Vlas (Sveti Vlas) Bulgaria is a small cozy town on the southern coast of Bulgaria. Saint Vlas belongs to the Burgas region and is part of the Nessebar municipality. The resort received the status of a city in 2006. But the creation of the resort area began here after the opening of a sanatorium for the treatment of pulmonary diseases. In 1963, Sveti Vlas was recognized as a climatic seaside resort. Sveti Vlas is located at the junction of the mountains and the sea, in the northern part of the bay, directly opposite the ancient city of Nessebar, included in the list of specially protected UNESCO sites.
