About Malinska: Malinska and its surroundings, known as Dubashnitsa, are located in the western part of the island of Krk. Until the 15th century, Dubashnitsa was sparsely populated, as was the territory to the south of it, extending to the city of Krk. The name Dubashnitsa comes from the word "oak" (oak), which reflects the rich forests and pastures of the region. Historically, until the 12th century, Dubashnitsa was largely controlled by Omishal, although some parts belonged to the people of the Krk.

Malinska, the heart of Dubashnica, was once a busy timber export port and a favorite vacation spot for the Viennese aristocracy.
