Sozopol is a town in southeastern Bulgaria on the Black Sea. It is located on several small peninsulas in the southern part of the Burgas Bay. It is the successor of the Greek colony of Apollonia and together with Nessebar is one of the oldest Bulgarian cities. It is known as a fishing and Wine Center. With its cultural and historical past, with its preserved architecture from the Urga century, its beaches and the annual arts festivals "Apollonia" Sozopol attracts many tourists today. ozopol is located on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, in the southern part of the Burgas Bay, 35 km south of Burgas. The town is divided into old and New Town, between which is the Sea Garden.
