Property description
A beautifully restored stone house retaining many historic features inside and out.
The main facades are oriented to the south and west. It overlooks the front terrace, extended private grass parking and surrounding countryside.
Directly in front of the house there are two large and well equipped terraces where you can relax in the sun or shade.
They are lined with terracotta tiles and surrounded by traditional stone walls. At night, this area is illuminated by external lighting.
The upper terrace offers panoramic views of the green countryside.
Traditional timber shutters cover six windows on one side, with two large, split-level, double-glazed entrances on the other. Decorative elements frame all stone window frames with fishing motifs.
The small garden contains wild flowers, pomegranate trees and fresh herbs.
The house is entered through a large external wooden gate and there is an intercom at the main doors.
Behind the gate there is a small road leading into the village.
The ground floor consists of a kitchen and dining room, hallway, twin bedroom and private bathroom, terrace, garden and main entrance to the house.
The kitchen and dining room are large and atmospheric traditional stone spaces with polished stone floors and wooden beams, creating a 'tavern' kitchen/dining room atmosphere. This part of the house is always cool during the warm summer months.
The fully equipped kitchen has solid oak finishes and granite worktops.
The home's original stone mill and granite wheel were delicately restored to create the kitchen's centerpiece feature and decorative glass table.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a cozy bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom.
All rooms on the ground floor lead directly onto the tiled outdoor terrace and garden, enclosed by traditional stone walls.
The second floor consists of a large and bright living room with windows and glass external doors that lead out to a spacious terrace, partly covered by a traditional roof - with panoramic views of the surrounding area and part of the village. Through double doors at one end is a second, smaller studio room.
On the top floor there are two large en-suite bedrooms, large comfortable beds, ample storage space and tastefully decorated with warm soft furnishings. The bedrooms are finished to a high standard: high ceilings and wooden floors.
The bedrooms overlook the surrounding green countryside, consisting of typical Mediterranean pine forests and olive groves.
House "Mill" is located in Marovici, a small village in the heart of the unspoiled Lustica peninsula of Montenegro.
